JOKER
FEMALE DEMIURGE OF THE OCCULT
Joker - FEMALE DEMIURGE OF THE OCCULT”, by and with Claudia Cantone, directed by Carlo Mô and dramaturgy by Xesco Izquierdo.
It is a fresh debut show in Lisbon (Portugal), at the international clown festival "Gargalhada na Lua"; successfully set up in Barcelona and in Rome.
Born in Spain, with the support of the Center Cívic Drassanes of the Barcelona City, which hosted his artistic residence, "Joker - Demiúrgica Femenina de Lo Oculto", offers to the spectators 60 minutes of originality, because this time to wear the clothes of the famous fool, it will not be a man, but a woman, Claudia Cantone.
We will see Joker, a demiurgic woman capable of creating Adam with "pieces of women" and denouncing gender violence through the mouth of the very bad witch of Snow White.
The song, the clown and the mime come together in the scenario to create the story of a woman, who, after wandering endlessly, finally finds herself and starts running with the wolves. The ambiguous fate that devours us all.

In each of us, women, there is a Joker willing to reveal who we really are and transform every moment of our life.
The show takes place following a continuous overturning, until the end, when Joker, laughing and crying at all the characters she gave life to, leaves the scene with the song "Pagliacci" by Ruggero Leoncavallo.
Thus remaining faithful to the ancestral function of the court jester, the alter ego of power, who questions everything, generating questions and controversies.
It is the story of a journey towards freedom, towards the joy of free will, to make visible and transgress on stage the macabre routine of red shoes, a symbol of violence against women.
Joker, woman and buffoon, will give the floor to these red shoes, telling, through the language of the clown, the models imposed on women. Consequently, the show is also a denunciation on the cultural and social limits imposed on the history of women.
